Chapter 985 Infuriated
Elisa smiled at Linda mockingly.
"Do you think I heard it?"
Linda glowered at her with widened eyes that were not from shock but anger.
Is she deaf? How could she not hear that? I was just trying to bring her to her senses. How dare she say something like that? How is this b*tch so thick face?
Just when Linda was about to reply, Rose quickly laughed as a warning to Linda, who let out a cold snort in annoyance.
She didn't say another word as she tried to get a grip on her emotions.
Meanwhile, Rose let her emotions settle before saying, "Elisa, don't overthink things. I understand you need time to think it through, but it's urgent for us. Can we discuss it together?"
Norman remained silent with a glum look, mainly because he couldn't cast his pride away to ask for Elisa's help. Hence, he depended on his wife to do the job for him.
Linda stared at Elisa intently, waiting for her reply.
"I have already given you a chance, but you refused it, leaving me with no other option," she replied calmly with a smile.
Norman and Linda's faces darkened. Rose had expected such a reply, so there wasn't much change in her facial expression. Instead, she nodded with a smile.
"I know, I know." Just as she wanted to continue, the door of their room suddenly opened.
Vincent walked into the room with a foul expression, as though he had a grudge against everyone.
When Rose saw that, her heart sank. Did he overhear our conversation at the door and disapprove of our actions?
They had no clue about the source of his anger. With a mask of coldness, he walked to Rachel and sat beside her without saying a word.
Rachel immediately pulled a long face. They sat at a round table with a dozen chairs, but only seven were there.
Hence, there were many empty seats in between. Yet, he chose to sit next to her, making her uncomfortable and annoyed.
Nevertheless, she didn't protest to avoid interrupting the day's primary focus.
Now that Vincent had arrived, Norman simply couldn't remain silent anymore. He tried to calm himself down before beaming widely at Vincent.
"Since you're here, Mr. Shane, let's start ordering. What would you like?"
He pressed the button to call the waiter.
Vincent had no intention of talking to him. "Anything will do. I'm not keen on ordering."
Norman froze upon hearing his reply. Rage burned within him as he felt the urge to kick Vincent out.
However, he didn't dare to do that, so he tried to rein his emotions in.
Taking a deep breath, he nodded. "Alright, then. I'll do the ordering. Do you have any allergies or anything you don't like?"
Though they weren't here to try the food, Norman still carried out all the pleasantries to paint himself in a better light.
Charli was the first to reply with a smile, "I'm fine with anything."
Linda and Rose remained silent, while Elisa and Rachel were determined to ignore him.
Similarly, Vincent showed no respect at all.
