No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 179

Donovan was feeling rather awkward. He hadn't expected Noelle to go mad. She was growing more stubborn by the day.

He turned to Noelle and said, "That's enough. You were the one who insulted Xenia."

"Her cheating is a fact! Soon, everyone will find out that the Liddells' adopted daughter is a cheating bitch. Thankfully, I'm a state valedictorian. Oh wait, it has nothing to do with you."

Her every word was a sharp barb. Noelle thought that keeping her distance would bring her calmness. However, the Liddells were unreceptive. In that case, they couldn't blame her for taking drastic measures.

If they gave her grief, they wouldn't live undisturbed either.

The leader finally saw an opportunity to speak and seized it. "That's right. It's very clear what happened. Xenia, you cheated. We'll conduct further clarifications and inform the school to take action."

"I didn't cheat," shrieked Xenia, unwilling to give in.

Noelle chuckled and glanced at her brothers. "She says she didn't cheat. Were you all blind just now too?"

She wanted to see how Xenia wiggled out of this now that there was indisputable evidence.

Frank questioned Xenia, "Since you've cheated, tell the truth. What's going on?"

He saw her cheating with his own eyes.

During the mock examinations, there were rumors that Xenia had cheated. However, another student bore the responsibility for that. When he thought about it, there were signs that all was not as it seemed. He didn't think she dared to cheat in the final entrance exams!"

"Frank, I-I only wanted to pass my answers to the person in front of me. She wanted to copy my answers!"

Under duress, Xenia came up with this solution. Shifting the blame onto others was something she excelled in.

When Noelle heard that, she immediately knew what Xenia was trying to do. After all, Betty sat in front of Xenia. What happened to Gwen was going to repeat on Betty.

After saying that, Xenia regained her confidence and said to the investigators, "The one in front of me wanted to copy my answers. Usually, my grades are better than hers. There's no reason why I would copy from someone doing even worse than I was."
