"Since the finals are this weekend, our base usually buys tickets, and we'll watch the game together. We also buy support merchandise and sometimes invite the team members to chat with everyone. It'll probably cost about a million dollars."
"Give me the account. I'll buy the tickets for the weekend's game first!"
Tianna was surprised. "Is that your own money?"
"Yeah, I'll be using the million dollars for now. I'll figure out the rest later!"
She had originally planned to talk to Alfred about sponsorship, but she didn't manage to bring it up that day. Now that she was a partner at Maple Enterprise, she thought perhaps she could use that status to help. After the meeting, Noelle decided that they needed to recruit new members.
"Let's set up a booth tomorrow and recruit!"
Noelle pulled out her phone and messaged the lawyer. "Tomorrow is the deadline!"
Back in her dorm, she received a message from Cedric. "The trainers at that gym are unprofessional. You're at risk of getting injured. I'll recommend a better place for you."
Noelle stared at the message. The last time they talked was days ago when he asked where she was after being discharged, and she told him she was going to the gym. Since then, they hadn't been in contact.
She found it absurd that he was now criticizing her trainer. She replied, "There's no need for that. My trainer is good—he used to be a professional athlete."
"Being a pro doesn't mean they can teach. Do you think your skinny frame can take much?" Cedric asked.
Noelle could almost picture his expression as he typed. She responded with a string of ellipses and then turned the screen off.
Cedric noticed the ellipses in Noelle's reply and tapped his screen thoughtfully. He couldn't help but think that Noelle was becoming more stubborn.
The next morning, Noelle woke up and immediately checked her phone. Cedric hadn't replied.
