No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 42

Chapter 42

“Noelle, are you mad at me? I’m just giving you some advice as I’m worried that that man will trick you,” Xenia said.

Noelle collected her gaze and said impassively, “Please keep your insincere kindness to yourself.” She was well aware that Xenia intended to ruin her reputation. Fortunately, she also had no intentions of being involved with the playboy before her.

With that said, she turned around and headed toward her school with her bag on her shoulders. Her face was emotionless, but her presence was overwhelming.

Everyone around them immediately parted ways for Noelle to pass through.

After all, Noelle was now famous after successfully pulling off a 12–hit combo during the gaming match. She was the esports industry’s new fan favorite.

A number of esports teams were hoping to recruit Noelle to join their team. However, because she was from the Liddell family and was Lucas‘ sister, not a single team dared poach her. She also gained a lot of admiration due to her rapid improvement in academic results and her gaming skills.

Once Noelle left, the whispers from the crowd grew louder.

Xenia bit her lips, turned to Justin, and said gently, “Are you Justin Parham? Noelle just has a big temper. Don’t take it personally.”

He asked, “Does she often stay out all night?”

“She doesn’t stay out all the time. After all, our family is quite strict with her. However, she’s been getting close with one of our school doctors. It caused an argument with our family, causing her to stay out all night.”

Xenia looked anxious as she added, “Justin, don’t spread what I just told you around. It won’t be good for Noelle’s reputation.”

Justin watched Noelle’s retreating figure. The look in his eyes had clearly changed.

Meanwhile, Xenia lowered her gaze as a hint of malice flashed across her eyes.

When Noelle arrived at her classroom, several boys had also made their way there to peek at her.

The minute she sat down, she noticed that there were many more love letters on her table than the last time. She briefly glanced at them before collecting them and throwing them into the trash.

Several loud wails came from outside the classroom.

“She didn’t even read your love letter before throwing it in the trash.”

Chapter42

“My letter wasn’t the only one that had been thrown into the trash. Yours got thrown, too!”

The noise grated on Noelle’s nerves as she did not have time to deal with such trivial things.

Xenia was immediately uncomfortable when she entered the classroom and noticed the stack of love letters. She used to be the most popular girl in their class, but Noelle had surpassed her popularity completely. She had never expected such a thing to happen.
