Noelle shot Xenia a look. "Do your job properly. If you embarrass yourself again, do you think Donovan will tolerate you a second time?"
Xenia scoffed. "You're just jealous that Donovan treats me well, and that's why you're targeting me. Why else would you come back to the Liddell family to steal what's mine?
"Yours?"
Noelle's gaze darkened. "Everything you have belongs to me. I'm the true daughter of the Liddell family while you're supposed to be here just picking up what I've discarded."
Xenia was instantly enraged. "Just you wait! One day, you'll regret this!"
"I'll be waiting, but for my current return, I won't be the pushover you used to bully. I'll take back everything that's mine and throw you out of the Liddell family."
Noelle's voice was cold and unwavering. After speaking, she turned and left.
Xenia furiously clenched her teeth. Like what she'd known, Noelle's return to the Liddell family was all about driving her out.
But suddenly, she caught sight of Justin's mother, Brittany Adams, arriving at the charity sales event. Excitement flashed in her eyes as she hurried over. "Ms. Brittany, I didn't expect you to come."
Brittany was dressed in plain clothes and carried a low-profile handbag. She indifferently said, "Call me Mrs. Parham. We're not that close."
She wouldn't have come at all if it weren't for the Cantrell family. Xenia didn't take offense. Instead, she eagerly followed behind Brittany.
Meanwhile, Noelle was surprised to see Brittany. She figured it was likely because of the Cantrell family's influence.
Instead of walking over to greet Brittany, she focused on the food section and checked the food arrangements.
That was when she noticed a wealthy-looking lady standing nearby, looking uncomfortable. She quickly approached and asked, "Are you alright? Do you need a doctor?"
"I'm fine," the woman replied.
