Noelle's eyes flew wide open when she turned toward the door. It was Wyatt, her fifth brother. In her previous life, Wyatt had spent all his time in Carl's laboratory, handling the company's medicinal affairs.

Xenia's face lit up with joy at the sight of Wyatt. She ran straight into his arms. "Wyatt, you're finally back!"

"Yes, I'm back. No one will bully you anymore." Wyatt held Xenia gently.

She clung to him. "Wyatt, you're all I have now."

Wyatt comforted her before maneuvering his wheelchair into the living room. His expression darkened at Noelle. "What did you promise me before?"

Noelle hesitated before recalling exactly what he meant. She once promised Wyatt that she would get along with Xenia and take care of her.

Noelle laughed. "I must have been out of my mind back then."

Wyatt scolded, "Noelle, you owe Xenia your life. You owe me a leg."

Noelle's heart tightened. But she quickly steadied herself. "You're mistaken. Your leg was lost because of a fire in the lab. It was an emergency. What does that have to do with me?"

Wyatt's gaze darkened. "My leg could have been saved. But you told the doctors to amputate it.

"That's why I became disabled. Carl has developed a treatment. I could have been cured if my leg had been preserved."

Noelle found this absolutely ridiculous. Wyatt had been rushed to the hospital, and only she and Xenia were present that day. Their other brothers hadn't been able to arrive in time.
