No More Waiting, She Chooses Love novel Chapter 732

I did deceive her, but my intentions were good, and I tried to explain that. If she's still holding a grudge, there's nothing more I can do.

So, I left it at that.

If she's reasonable, she'll come to understand. Even though Susie had become distant, I still called Mack after leaving.

It's not that I'm meddling; it's just that she matters to Ernest, and, well, you know what they say about loving everything that comes with the person you love.

Besides, Susie isn't malicious; she's just upset because she feels betrayed.

"Hey, sis," Mack didn't answer the phone; instead, his voice came from behind me.

I put away my phone and looked at him. I didn't need to ask why he was here.

He came to see Susie.

If Susie was mad at me, she'd be even more upset with Mack.

"Are you here for Susie, or for the heart beating inside her?" I asked bluntly, almost cruelly.

Mack didn't respond, and I laughed mockingly, "Seems like you don't have an answer."

"Sis, I'm really struggling," Mack confessed, clearly distressed, suggesting he hadn't been doing well these past few days.

The struggle was his to bear; I couldn't help with that, but I still offered him some advice, "If you want to get out of this turmoil, you need to figure out what you truly want."

I knew it was easier said than done. If he could have figured it out, he wouldn't be in this predicament, "Mack, remember what we talked about? You leaving her? Now that things have escalated, take this chance to step back and allow yourself time to find your answer."

"I know, but I'm scared," Mack showed a vulnerability that's rare in men.

"Scared of what?"
