No More Waiting, She Chooses Love novel Chapter 792

Fanny and Sinclair stood there, awkwardly silent. Carlson, completely oblivious, was busy staring at Fanny. "No wonder you catch everyone's eye at the parties... ouch, Sinclair, what's your problem?" Carlson yelped as Sinclair dragged him away by the collar, leaving Fanny to mutter, "Crazy guy."

"So, Sinclair's got a Fanny now?" I teased, tilting my head with a grin.

Fanny playfully slapped my arm. "Stop it, you troublemaker. Come on, let's go bring Grandpa his birthday gift."

She pulled me along, her ears turning a shade of crimson that gave away her embarrassment.

I couldn't help but poke fun a bit more. "You know, Fanny, you're not really close with your uncle. Maybe you should consider giving Sinclair a chance. He's handsome and loaded. Keeping it in the family, so to speak."

Fanny shot me a stern look. "Licia, say that again and we're done."

"Wow, hit a nerve, did I?" I laughed.

"You better stop," Fanny warned, chasing me with playful slaps.

I dodged her, only to bump into a wall of muscle. Before I could even look up, the familiar scent hit me.

Looking up, I saw Conrad.

It seemed like I was running into him a lot lately, whether at the local diner or at the Perez family gatherings.

"Mr. Wagner, on your way out?" Fanny quipped, clearly wanting him gone.

Even though I'd moved past what happened between Conrad and me, Fanny hadn't.

"Yeah," Conrad replied, releasing me and checking to see if I'd hurt my foot.

"I'm just here to wish Mr. Anderson a happy birthday," Conrad said, his eyes on me.

We'd reached a point where things were comfortable between us, so I asked, "Not staying for dinner?"
