“Mmm…” Lenora closed her eyes, her hands instinctively reaching up to wrap around Zachary’s neck, responding to him with fervor. 

The two were intertwined in a passionate exchange. Zachary slowly pulled away from her lips. A delicate thread of clear ambiguity stretched between them, finally snapping in the middle. 

His face bore a look of restrained patience, and his brows furrowed deeply. His eyes were intently fixed on her expression, and he adjusted the rhythm of his hand movements. 

Lenora’s eyes narrowed slightly, her gaze hazy. Her face was flushed, and her lips, both red and moist, parted slightly to let out a soft, coquettish moan. 

Zachary quickly placed his other hand over Lenora’s lips, silencing her soft hum before it could escape. 

Lenora’s elegant eyebrows slightly furrowed. 

Her eyes were closed, her breathing becoming more and more frantic. A low, unbearable moan escaped from her throat. 

Suddenly, she stiffened, her eyes tightly shut. Her face was as radiant as a blooming flower, her body limp and uncoordinated. Her arms, weak and powerless, slid from around Zachary’s neck, and she almost fell to the floor.

The helicopter touched down on the rooftop near Gerton Hospital. Zachary straightened out Lenora’s clothes and immediately carried her into the hospital. 

When Lenora woke up, it was already early the next morning.

As it turned out, he was the only one who cherished the tender moment they shared the previous night. 

Since the effects of the medicine had worn off, she had become indifferent again. 

His eyes held a somber depth as he asked in a low voice. “Do you have any idea what would have happened last night if I hadn’t been with you?” 

Lenora gazed into Zachary’s eyes, her lips parting gently. “I know.”

Lenora averted her gaze, casually looking out the window. “I would’ve slept with Maxton, right? Isn’t that it? To be honest, I quite like him. What’s wrong with a one–night encounter? Isn’t this quite common among adults these days?” 

When traveling, one might find someone they fancied and spend a night together. Afterward, they would part ways and never see each other again.
