Chapter 59
Clara attempted to resist, but lan’s kissing game was top–notch. It didn’t take long before she felt like jelly all over.
After what felt like an eternity, lan finally eased up. His fingertips gently caressed her slightly swollen lips. His voice was like velvet, “Ms. Clara, shall we continue?”
Clara turned her head away, startled. “lan, haven’t you had your fun?”
lan chuckled lowly, “I meant continue trying on clothes. Did your mind wander somewhere else?”
When the two emerged from the fitting room, the assistant was quick to approach. The sight of lan’s dashing figure flushed the assistant’s cheeks with a rosy hue. “Sir, that suit looks sharp on you. How about adding a tie to the ensemble?”
Clara spoke up indifferently, “Try that one.” She took the tie from the assistant and, standing on tiptoes, began fastening it around his neck.
lan was the picture of cooperation. Bending slightly, his head lowered. He’s the epitome of a gentleman, yet with an air of intimacy. Their noses were almost touching.
The assistant’s heart fluttered, thinking how lucky Clara was.
As Clara fumbled in her bag, she took out a black card. It was the same one lan had given her three years ago, untouched till now. Handing it to the assistant, Clara maintained her composure, “Use this card, please.”
lan stood close behind Clara, lazily playing with the ribbon on her dress. He noticed her hesitation before she finally chose his black card.
His mood lifted instantly. His woman was finally willing to spend his money. He couldn’t resist texting his buddy Chase, boasting: [Got a lady who spends your cash? Didn’t think so. But I do.]
Perhaps too excited, his hand yanked too hard, and the bow on Clara’s dress came undone. Her skin was suddenly exposed. The striking red birthmark on her elegant shoulder blade was accentuated by the overhead lights.
lan immediately let go, watching Clara somewhat innocently. “It wasn’t on purpose, the ribbon was too loose.”
Clara glared at him, “Tie it back up, now.”
lan’s lips curved into a smile, his gaze lingering on her smooth skin, his Adam’s apple rolling with desire. If they weren’t in the middle of a store, he’d have torn off her dress and kissed that irresistible birthmark.
His hands were casual as he retied the ribbon, his fingers teasing her spine, sending

shivers through her.
A figure in the distance caught the entire scene, especially the birthmark on Clara’s back, their eyes revealing an indescribable emotion.
The next morning, Clara awoke at past eight. An important meeting awaited, and she had yet to prepare all her materials.
She tried to spring out of bed but was held back by a firm embrace. Ian’s lazy, husky voice echoed in her ear. “There’s no rush. Today, we’ll go together.” He pulled her arms, planting a kiss on her forehead.
