Looking at Keith, Jason couldn't help but chuckle and say, "Forget whether Estrella would even agree, I wouldn't be on board with this in the first place."
"And Keith, you're overestimating both yourself and me. Thinking Estrella would be my 'little one', or me being hers, is just ridiculous. I'm not even in her league; she'd definitely have to think twice."
Jason's way of boosting Estrella's worth made Keith furious. He shot up from the couch, face red with anger, and confronted him: "So, after all this talk, are you shamelessly admitting you're chasing after her?"
"Jason, oh Jason, how can you be so hopeless? Are there no other women in the world for you? Must you have Cole's daughter? I swear, Landon really messed you up on purpose."
Jason stood up, unfazed, and asked, "Keith, is there even a point in discussing this?"
Refusing to back down, Keith snapped, "There's nothing to discuss. If you dare to be with that girl, be prepared to pick up the pieces."
Jason retorted, "Fine. If anything happens to my lady, the entire River family will be attending her funeral."
As Jason was about to leave, a girl's voice suddenly called out from upstairs, "Grandpa."
Keith looked up, and instinctively, Jason glanced in that direction too.
Upon seeing the girl calling Keith 'Grandpa,' Jason couldn't help but laugh. Was the old man too confident, thinking any woman would catch his eye?
Sarcastically looking at Keith, Jason mocked, "Really, old man, who are you trying to disgust?"
Keith ignored Jason's sarcasm and introduced the girl, "Jason, meet Edith, your grandpa's granddaughter, a finance whiz from Harvard, 26 years old. She'll be a great asset in business."
After introducing her to Jason, Keith turned to Edith, "Edith, this is my grandson Jason. You two should get to know each other."
With his hands back in his pockets, Jason had to admire Keith's proactive approach. Without any formal arrangements, Keith had brought the girl straight to Ravenwood.
It seemed his lack of scruples wasn't inherited from the Nelson family but the River family.
Bringing her to Ravenwood did raise some concerns for Jason.
Of course, he was worried about Estrella, afraid that if she didn't agree, Keith might lose it and come after her.
So, with a poker face, he casually mentioned, "Oh, Keith, I forgot to mention something, Estrella is pregnant."
Without waiting for Keith's reaction, Jason turned and walked toward the yard.
He didn't believe it. If Estrella was carrying his child, the old man wouldn't dare make a move.
As Jason turned to leave, Keith was almost knocked off his feet, struggling to catch his breath, pointing at Jason's back with his cane and cursing, "You scoundrel, you think you can fool me?"
Though he said this, Keith was unsure since Estrella and Jason had indeed been living together.
Ignoring him, Jason continued walking.
Keith, still furious, exclaimed, "How long do you think she can keep it? There will come a day when the baby is born!"
Jason kept walking, knowing that the ten months would give him enough time to uncover Keith's spies and handle him.
By then, the girl had reached the ground floor, supporting Keith, "Grandpa, don't be angry. Don't let it affect your health."
But how could Keith not be angry? Watching Jason's retreating figure, he cursed, "You're here to settle scores."
Had he known it would come to this, he might have never returned.
Now, whether he intervened or not, it was a dilemma.
However, seeing Jason wanting to stay at Ravenwood and get along with Cole's daughter, Keith couldn't swallow his pride.

Meanwhile, in Estrella's office.
Estrella had just finalized a contract and was heading back when her personal cell rang.
It was Jesse calling.
She answered, "Jesse, what's up calling at this hour?"
On the other end, Jesse sounded absolutely miserable, "Estrella, please, you gotta help me out here!"
So, at five in the evening, after wrapping up her work, Estrella drove out to pick Jesse up.
Riding shotgun, Jesse rolled down the window, taking in huge gulps of air, "Finally, I can breathe some freedom, feel alive again."
Then, he went on a rant about how Bryce and his mom were smothering him, almost to the point where they wouldn't even let him flush the toilet himself, insisting on doing it for him.
Estrella couldn't help but laugh.
Jesse, on the verge of tears, said, "You didn't see how over the top Bryce and his mom were, I'm about to lose my mind."
After Jesse's meltdown, Estrella joined him for dinner and then they went for a foot spa together.
In the VIP lounge of an upscale club, Estrella and Jesse lounged comfortably on plush sofas, their feet soaking in wooden tubs, while young men in steward uniforms massaged their feet.
Behind each of them, another pair of handsome attendants worked on their shoulders and necks, making for an utterly indulgent experience.
