Although Feena yearned for Jack—to the point where she was thinking about him when she was eating, sleeping, and even dreaming—Feena was stubborn to a fault and refused to admit it aloud. In fact, she begrudged Jack for taking so long to look for her.

"Is that so?" Jack asked teasingly. "Maybe I should just go back to Alnewgo then."

"Don't you dare!" Feena exclaimed hastily, worried that Jack would actually leave.

She said softly, "You pig! Don't you know how I feel? I missed you… I would think about you everyday. I would think about you so much that I wouldn't be able to fall asleep. Are you happy now?"

Feena didn't think about him because she was lonely. On the contrary, she only felt lonely when she thought about him.

Her voice was gentle yet flirtatious, making Jack's heart hammer in his chest. He imagined her whispering into his ear in that voice every day in the future, which made his heartbeat speed up. He couldn't wait for even a second longer.

"How's the rehearsal going? How long more do you need?" Jack asked.

"It's going to be my turn soon. Be good and wait for me," she answered.

The two of them exchanged a few more words before it went silent on Feena's end. Jack guessed that she must be about to begin her rehearsal, so he placed his phone down, found a seat and closed his eyes to rest.

The sounds of a set of footsteps resounded toward him, which was immediately followed by a sweet scent of perfume that was carried upon the breeze. It appeared that a slender woman was about to join him in the waiting area.

The smell of the perfume was oddly familiar to Jack. Unable to help himself, he peeled his eyes open for a peek, wanting to catch a glimpse of the newcomer. He was stunned when he saw her face and quickly shut his eyes, pretending to be in a deep sleep.
