After Rosalie took a shower, she saw Joseph close the door, turn off the lights, and go to bed early as usual. She couldn’t help but feel curious about him.

“I asked Mr. Hart for some money, and he said he’d even cover your expenses for next month. Are you two secretly seeing each other behind my back? Have you two been having sex once I fall asleep?” Brooke asked

“Is your brain full of crap or what? You don’t even care that your studies are falling apart, yet you’re so concerned about whether I’m sleeping with Joseph?

“What are you really up to?” Rosalie couldn’t understand why Brooke cared about this.

“Tell me. Did you two already have sex?”

“Yes. Stop being so nosy.”

“Oh? You did?”

“Of course. Otherwise, why would he even be so good to us? There’s no such thing as free lunch in this world. Only you could be so naive!”

“Damn! Rosalie Sullivan, you’re really shameless!” Brooke turned her back on Rosalie and ignored her.

“Shameless, huh? We’re lucky we’re still alive. So what if I’m shameless?” Rosalie muttered before going to bed as well.

The truth was, nothing ever happened between her and Joseph. She knew he wouldn’t stoop that low to be with her.

The next day, Joseph arrived at the hospital and found that Mavis was already there. She had been admitted to a specially prepared ward, and a row of family members stood in the corridor outside. The truth was, they were her bodyguards.

Even though Mavis had been admitted to a public hospital, it was better to be safe than sorry.
