Grace was perfectly healthy, and with Mavis protecting her, she was completely safe.

After ending the call, however, Joseph felt an inexplicable sense of melancholy.

Through a series of coincidences, Grace had become his. As they continued working together, they slept together several more times. They were already in an inseparable relationship.
