A Man with Nerves of Steel (Joseph Hart) novel Chapter 437

Chapter 437

Cora knew what Joseph wanted to do, but she couldn’t stop him. She had lived a sheltered, comfortable life, so she couldn’t grasp what he was going through or understand his state of mind.

Cora didn’t want to talk anymore and let Joseph take the lead. In that, they shared an unspoken understanding. She began enjoying herself.

Joseph was enjoying himself too. If he let himself dwell on Cora cheating on him and having another man’s daughters, she would seem filthy to him, and he would lose all desire.

But he knew this might be the last time they would be intimate. Since it would be their final time, he didn’t dwell on those disgusting thoughts and memories.

Tonight, Joseph and Cora went through the familiar motions they had repeated for the past decade or two. It was still thrilling and pleasurable. Perhaps there was also a trace of affection he thought he had long buried.

The act itself was simple. Despite their complicated emotions, they still found immense pleasure in it.

If only Cora hadn’t cheated on him. If only she still loved him. That would have been wonderful. It was a pity.

Joseph looked at the stunning Cora beneath him and felt torn. He had already warned himself not to ponder on all that nonsense, as it would only make him suffer. Still, he couldn’t control his thoughts.

At times, this showed in his actions, causing him to become quite rough. It was really a mixture of pain and pleasure.

The next day, Joseph was still as energetic as ever. After saying goodbye to Natalie, Selena, and Kimberly, he left the villa.

As for Cora, she was still a little worn out, or perhaps a little sore. She decided to arrange some work for Fiona and the others so she could stay at home to rest.

Her daughters were all in good spirits, so she didn’t have to worry about them. In her opinion, the family still needed Joseph around.

Bernard had an appointment, so he went out early in the morning.

Meanwhile, Helen stayed at home. She knocked on the door before entering Cora’s bedroom. Seeing Cora’s state, she wanted to give Joseph a piece of her mind for being so rough. But when she saw the satisfaction on Cora’s face, she decided not to say anything.

Still, Helen asked, “What did Joseph tell you last night? Why did he come back? What is he up to?”

Remembering Joseph wanted to keep his plans secret- and still riding the tender afterglow from last night-Cora said, “Things haven’t been going well for him out there.
