For now, the wisest course of action was to avoid the spotlight. Before Natalie tracked down his dormitory, Joseph needed to get out of the hospital.

Taking the staff passage, he quickly left the department and walked straight out of the hospital.

Estimating that enough time had passed, he liquidated the money he had invested in the stock market.

If this identity could no longer be used, he would simply abandon it.

After switching off his phone, he visited the blind woman. He wanted a massage to unwind, relax, and catch some sleep.

Here, he felt completely at ease.

Between strangers, trust was often built on mutual benefit.

Joseph paid for the service, and the blind woman needed the money to survive. Giving Joseph the best service possible was therefore her top priority.

While Joseph rested in the room, the blind woman quietly stepped outside and entered the room of the girl in the wheelchair.

The girl wheeled herself over, closed the door behind them, and asked in a hushed voice, “He didn’t try to take advantage of you, did he?”

“He behaved himself the entire time. I could even tell that his breathing never became irregular. He didn’t have those kinds of thoughts,” The blind woman said in Joseph’s defense. In truth, she wasn’t exaggerating. Joseph had simply come to relax with a massage.

Only then did the girl breathe a sigh of relief.

“What does he look like?” The blind woman asked.

The girl described Joseph’s unattractive appearance and admitted she found him rather unpleasant to look at. That said, she was fond of the thick wallet he carried.

The blind woman said softly, “It sounds like we’re cut from the same cloth. People with disabilities like us are looked down on even more than someone who’s merely ugly.”

The girl said, “Don’t lose hope. We’ve finally made it to Jenton. As long as we can settle down here and find that miracle doctor through someone’s connections, we’ll recover once he operates on us.”

The blind woman frowned. “But we don’t know anyone here. How are we supposed to find out who this miracle !doctor is?”

“The man inside said he’s a doctor, didn’t he? Why don’t you ask him? I’ll order some extra takeout later and invite him to stay for dinner. After he has had a couple of drinks, we can ask him.” The younger sister had already planned everything. All that remained was to wait for Joseph to wake up.

Joseph was more than happy to stay when they asked.

After sharing a meal and a few drinks with them, he listened to their request in confusion.

Joseph said, “A miracle doctor in Jenton? Are you talking about Jenton’s Miracle Doctor, Jenna, from the Zahn medical sect?”

The girl asked, “Jenna? Isn’t she very young? Does that mean she has a mentor who taught her everything?”

Joseph shrugged. “In theory, that does make sense. But everyone only talks about Jenna. I’ve never heard of another miracle doctor. Give me more clues. The more information you provide, the easier it’ll be for me to ask around. I’m quite familiar with Jenna, and I know most of the well-known doctors here.”

The younger girl looked troubled. “Clues? All we know is that there’s supposedly a miracle doctor in lenton who can cure us. We have no idea who that person actually is.”

Joseph was speechless. How was he supposed to find this so-called miracle doctor if that was all they knew?

The blind woman said, “I heard this miracle doctor could separate conjoined twins and even reattach severed arms and legs.”
