“Anyway, if someone truly wants to pass him a message, he’ll receive it.”

Peyton snorted. “Nothing you’ve said so far is useful.”

Yelena replied, “Joseph’s world is actually very simple. You’re the ones making it complicated. I’ve already told you. He’s practically become a monk. In his eyes, I’m no different from the rest of you. The only reason he still contacts me is that he believes I never lied to him.”

She looked at all the women seated around the table and chuckled. “Meanwhile, all of you have betrayed him and lied to him. To him, all of you are traitors.”

Lexi slammed her palm onto the table. “Watch your mouth!”

Yelena did not seem afraid at all. “You might not like what I said, but I already said it. So what now? Do you want to settle it the old-fashioned way? The winner lives, while the loser dies.”

She had never liked anyone who had betrayed Joseph.
