Joseph fixed Yara with a cold gaze, then continued, “Fine, we don’t have to break up, but only if you put everything you own into our marriage.

“I’ll call the shots from now on. I’ll be the head of the household, and my word is final. You’ll do as I say, whether you like it or not.

“And tell Skylar to stay out of our business. I’ll give him the respect he deserves and treat him like an older brother. That’s as far as I’m willing to go. If he can’t accept that, then you will also cut him off for good.”

“Henry! Have you lost your damn mind? How could you even say something like that?” Yara demanded furiously. If looks could kill, Joseph would have died a thousand times over.

Joseph shot back.

“I’m obviously the one with the upper hand here. You’re damaged goods. What makes you think you get a say in this?
