Arthur and the others were very unhappy with Joseph for deliberately provoking Yara. But with the Zahn medical sect backing him, there was nothing they could do. They could only leave him under the supervision of Jenna, Gemma, and the others.

Joseph thought Gemma could still be useful to him, so he put on a helpless, pitiful expression.

As expected, Gemma immediately filled in the blanks herself and asked, “Did Skylar threaten you?”

“Not everyone treats me as well as you do, Gemma,” he said.

Joseph reached out and lightly brushed the tip of her delicate nose. It was smooth and springy to the touch.

Then, he deliberately brought up another sensitive subject. “Did he ask you to examine his prostate while I was gone?”

Gemma said, “He did, but I refused. Given his condition, there’s no way he has normal function right now. In fact, his condition keeps fluctuating. If he weren’t a member of the Zahn family and didn’t have access to those excellent medications, he’d probably be dead already.”

Taking advantage of the moment, Gemma moved closer to Joseph. Her face drew nearer and nearer to his, and her breathing quickened.
