Ever since Winona regained consciousness, she had been calling him nonstop, asking him to provide the surveillance footage from the Traditional Medicine Center.

Meanwhile, at Emerald Mountain, Owen invited the family over for a gathering, announcing Rhea and Joseph’s wedding. With that, he officially became Owen’s son-in-law, making him the head of the Zahn medical sect.

There was supposedly one more thing Joseph had to do-go on a honeymoon. But given Yara’s

condition, their honeymoon as a trio had to be postponed. Instead, Joseph, Rhea, and Yara were set up in a large house at Emerald Mountain to live in.

That night, Rhea was both anxious and excited, but when she learned that Joseph hadn’t prepared the bottle of drugs for her, she locked the room door and refused to let him in.

“Rhea, it’s our wedding night. If you keep this up, I’ll have to enforce the family code.”

“Don’t you dare! If you kick this door down, I’ll tell Dad to teach you a lesson!” Rhea stayed in the room, refusing to give in.

“Stop bringing your dad into everything. This is between us, so let’s not drag him into it. Rhea, the family code comes first in our family.

“You’ve already violated the family code. You’d better be careful. The family could have you punished for this.”

“Unless you have the drug, you can say whatever you want. I’m not going to open the door. You’re wasting your time!”

“You’ve gone against the family code. If anything happens to you, that’s on you. By then, you can’t blame anyone but yourself.”

Seeing that Rhea refused to open the door, Joseph wasn’t bothered and turned to Yara’s room instead. He knew she must have overheard everything, so he said, “Rhea’s being ridiculous. I hope you’re more

sensible than she is.”

“I’m willing to give myself to you, but I’m still sick. I’m feeling a little dizzy.” Yara turned him down.

The truth was, she was still thinking about Joseph and hoped he would come to Emerald Mountain to save her, but that wasn’t realistic at all. It was impossible for him to even make his way there. For now, she could only keep refusing her husband for as long as she could.

“Damn it! I’ve got two wives, yet I can’t even sleep with either of them. What’s the point?” Joseph complained.

Oddly enough, Joseph felt relieved. Henry was just an alias, and he didn’t have feelings for either Yara or Rhea. He didn’t really want to ruin them for good.

Besides, he wanted Yara to pay the price, not sleep with her.
