A Mix-up Made Me His Enemy's Woman novel Chapter 33

Chapter 33

The next day, Antonio called Bethany Into his office. I told you to deliver the document last night. Where were you?

Bethany shrugged. Something came up, and I went to the hospital. I sent William Instead. I told him not to look inside. Why? Did something go wrong?

Antonio felt a headache coming on.

That morning, he had already received a legal notice from Noah’s lawyer threatening to sue them.

Take a look. You’re the biggest shareholder now. Talk to him yourself. If we don’t handle this well, it could seriously damage the hotel’s reputation. Guests will think our security is a joke.

Bethany smiled. Uncle Antonio, you’re managing the hotel now. Can’t you handle this level of crisis? If you really can’t, we should hire a manager from outside to take over.

Antonio wanted to curse, but swallowed it all.

In the end, Elysian Hotel issued a public apology, and Antonio scheduled a meeting with Noah at the company.

Noah was more than willing to come. After all, he needed to see Bethany.

When Bethany returned to the office, William looked at her with resentment. He had known that last night was going to be trouble, but he didn’t expect to be thrown into such a mess.

Things were tense in the HR department, but Bethany stayed composed as she browsed online for lumbar support cushions for Sarah.

Soon, her phone buzzed. It was a news notification about Noah and Ella’s engagement.

Bethany swiped it away casually. It didn’t matter anymore. She was married now. Noah’s marriage plans were no longer her

concern.

Bethany had just woken up from her lunch break when Antonio called her into his office.

However, Antonio wasn’t there. Noah was the one sitting in his chair.

Bethany turned to leave, but Noah calmly threatened, Bethany, if you leave now, I’ll bankrupt Elysian tomorrow. You worked hard to get the HR director position. I don’t think you want to be job hunting again.

Bethany inwardly sneered. At that moment, she didn’t know what exactly she had liked about him before.

Besides knowing how to manipulate people with the little power he had, he was nowhere near a match for his nemesis.

Bethany didn’t know why Silas had suddenly appeared in her mind.

Are you still going to leave?Noah asked.

She turned back calmly and took a seat across from him. Mr. Vazquez, what do you want? I’m just a director. Even if this hotel goes under, it’s not really my problem. You’ve picked the wrong way to threaten me.

Noah narrowed his eyes. His voice dropped low as he asked, Why didn’t you come to me yesterday?
