A Secretive Deal with My Billionaire Boss (by Gregory Ellington) novel Chapter 468

Madison

"I know exactly why you're suggesting a shower." I poked his chest. "And I know what happens the second we step inside. You'll corner me under the water, press me against the wall, and seduce me until I give in."

"I would never." His expression was pure innocence. Fake as hell.

"You absolutely would."

"You're being paranoid."

"I'm being realistic." I ducked under his arm, escaping to the other side of the counter. "I know what you're like, Alexander. I've seen your moves. Experienced them. Multiple times."

"Those weren't moves. That was genuine passion."

"Genuine passion that has you trying to fuck me in your kitchen with our son twenty feet away."

He opened his mouth to argue, then closed it. "Fair point."

"Exactly." I crossed my arms. "So why don't you go to your office? Don't you have work?"

"I have people to manage all that."

"If you have so many people to manage everything, then why did you come to Connecticut in the first place?" I leaned against the opposite counter. "Why not send some employee to handle whatever property deal you were working on?"

His eyes locked with mine. "Don't you know the reason?"

"No." I grabbed a dish towel and wiped down the counter unnecessarily. "Enlighten me."

"Madison."

"Go to your office." I tossed the towel aside. "Most of your stocks are already in the red. You need to handle that before it gets worse."

"It's a small fall." He waved his hand dismissively. "The market will recover in three, maybe four days tops. And it'll shoot even higher when we go public."

"Who's going public?"

"You, Ethan, and me." He said it like it was obvious. "Our relationship. Our family."

"That's not what we're talking about right now. We're talking about you going to work and dealing with the current situation."

"You're a devil or something." He ran his hand through his hair. "Kicking me out of my own penthouse."

I laughed. "Thank you. I take that as a compliment."

"It wasn't meant as one."

"Too late. Already accepted." I walked past him, deliberately letting my hip brush against his. Just enough to make him react.

His hand shot out, catching my waist. "You're doing that on purpose."

"Doing what?" I blinked innocently. "I'm just walking to the living room to check on our son."

"You brushed against me."

"Did I? Must have been an accident. The kitchen's pretty narrow."

"Bullshit." His fingers flexed on my hip. "You're teasing me."

"Maybe." I placed my hand over his, slowly removing it from my waist. "Or maybe you're just sexually frustrated because your girlfriend won't let you fuck her while your kid watches cartoons."

"My girlfriend is a menace."

"Your girlfriend is smart." I kissed his cheek quickly, then pulled away before he could deepen it. "And she's going to spend time with Ethan now. You should get ready for work."

"Madison."

"Go." I pointed toward the bedroom. "Get dressed. Put on your fancy suit. Be the powerful CEO everyone expects you to be."

He stepped closer, backing me against the wall in two strides. His body pressed against mine, his hands bracketing my head.

"You're very bossy today."

"Someone has to be."

"I like it." He leaned down, his mouth finding mine.

The kiss was slow, deep. His tongue slid past my lips, tasting me thoroughly. My hands found his chest automatically, feeling the hard muscle beneath his shirt.

When he pulled back, we were both breathing harder.

"Still want me to go to work?"
