A Superpowered Warrior in a Fake Heiress’s Body
Chapter 1 A Slap in the Face
“Isabella, can’t you understand? You owe her an apology.
“Is this the kind of upbringing those foster folks out in the country gave you?
“You have absolutely no manners at all!”

The glow from the extravagant crystal chandelier hanging high above was blinding. Isabella blinked hard a few times, trying to fight off the dizziness, and let out an annoyed mumble. “So loud.”
Who’s rambling on like this?
Don’t they know you’re supposed to stay quiet when laying an ambush for an S–class beast?
If someone was looking for a death wish, she could handle them herself.
No need for all this racket.
Isabella Powell opened her eyes, her gaze icy cold, and saw a middle–aged man across from her staring at her in utter disbelief, shouting, “How dare you talk to me like that?!”
As the words left his mouth, he raised his hand to slap her again.
Only then did Isabella feel the sharp sting on her cheek. She ran her tongue gently over her lip and tasted the metallic, coppery tang of blood.
A flicker of anger flashed in her eyes.
This man actually hit her?
Ever since she awakened her SSS–class ability, no one had ever dared to raise their voice at her, let alone lay a finger on her.
And now this middle–aged man had just slapped her across the face.
Calmly, Isabella grabbed his wrist mid–swing and slapped him right back.
“Idiot. What’s wrong with talking to you like that? You think you can just-
She cut herself off abruptly.
A flood of memories rushed through her mind.
It turned out she was now the biological daughter of the Powell family, who had just been brought home after going missing fifteen years ago. The Powells were one of the most prominent wealthy families in Caporia, obsessed with their public image and social status above all else.
Tragically, the daughter they had lost fifteen years prior had grown into an uncultured country girl. Crude and unrefined, she lacked every ounce of grace and poise expected of a wealthy heiress–and had turned the entire family into a laughingstock among the city’s elite circles.

Right now, Isabella had gotten into an argument with Hannah Powell, which was why Daniel Powell was furious and trying to “teach her a lesson“.
And Daniel was the father of this body–the same middle–aged man who had just tried to strike her.
Even as the memories flooded her mind, her hands never faltered.
She had been raised like a lone wolf, with no concept of family ties or affection.
Besides, Daniel had never raised the original girl at all. What right did he have to act like a father now?
Teach me a lesson?
Not a chance. Anyone tries me, they’re getting it right back.
Isabella kept her composure and struck Daniel hard across the face, making him stumble backward.
But this body was far too weak.
She frowned slightly, noticing that her slap had only made him take one step back.
Back in her own world, even a light flick of her wrist would have left him severely injured.
She frowned again, then realized something else—there was no spiritual energy in this world like the one she came from.
This was a fully modern society, with lush green mountains, clear rivers, and bright blue skies.
It was nothing like her home, filled with scorching suns, towering mechas, and cold steel structures.
As Isabella stood there frowning, Hannah hurried forward to steady Daniel, then immediately turned to shout at Isabella, her voice shrill.
“Isabella, how could you do something like that?!
“Dad was only trying to help you! How could you hit him?
“And this whole thing was clearly your fault!
“You pushed me, and now you’re being completely unreasonable!
“You–you’re way out of line!”
Tears welled up in Hannah’s eyes.
The Powell family had raised Hannah perfectly.
ľ
The girl who should have grown up in poverty in a foster home had been adopted by the Powells, and thanks to their privileged life, she now had fair, smooth skin and delicate, pretty features.
With tears glistening in her eyes, her already fragile and lovely appearance looked even more pitiful and helpless.

Hannali was the very image of a well–bred wealthy family’s daughter–the kind the Powells had carefully groomed and polished for years.
At that moment, her innocent, tearful expression only fueled the anger of the people around her.
Isaac Powell stepped forward and reached out to grab Isabella’s arm.
“Isabella, what the hell is wrong with you? Who gave you the right to hit Dad?
“Look at yourself! You’re acting like some common thug off the street!”
As his hand reached for her, Isabella remained calm, stepped back smoothly, and dodged his entirely.
grasp
Her expression was steady, her voice cold and sharp. “Even if I were a thug off the street, that’s none of
your concern.
“And as for me pushing Hannah…”
Isabella took a step forward, her gaze cool and sharp, and flipped Hannah’s hand over. “There are scratches and tiny bits of gravel stuck in her palm. I wonder where in the garden she could have fallen like that. Do you want me to take you outside and match those pebbles to the path one by one?
“Or did the Powells really pave garden stones all over the inside of the house? You must be truly fond of
nature.
“I’d suggest checking which member of the staff has it out for you, scattering gravel in the entryway just so Hannah could trip and get those scrapes.”
Isabella’s voice remained calm and even.
Isaac froze in place, and Daniel’s eyes also shifted toward Hannah.
“Hannah, what’s really going on here…?” Isaac asked, his eyes widening in shock.
Daniel looked awkward and uneasy too.
He had heard that Isabella pushed Hannah and immediately jumped to the conclusion that she was bullying the girl.
Now it seemed Hannah’s injury was actually from an accidental fall?
Daniel had been furious about being slapped, but now all he felt was deep embarrassment.
He had accused Isabella without even hearing the full story.
The second Isabella spoke, Hannah’s face stiffened.
She awkwardly pulled her hand back, forcing a weak smile. “I didn’t even notice I had scratches on my hand.
“I said earlier that my sister didn’t mean to do it. It was my brother…” She glanced over at Isaac.

Isaac also looked a little sheepish and guilty.
Finished
When he had first walked into the mansion, he had seen Isabella and Hannah standing together, then Hannah had let out a scream and fallen to the floor, her palm bleeding.
Naturally, he had immediately assumed Isabella was to blame.
Hannah had even pulled him aside and said Isabella hadn’t done it on purpose, that her injury had nothing to do with her, but at the time, he had been too focused on seeing Hannah on the ground to take her words seriously.
As Isaac stood there processing this, Isabella let out a cold, sharp laugh.
She stepped forward, her voice cutting through the silence. “What do you mean, I didn’t do it on purpose?
“Hannah, I never laid a hand on you.
“You fell down all by yourself.”
Isabella’s expression stayed calm and unyielding.
The original Isabella had cared deeply about the Powell family and had always tried to obey their every wish, never defending herself when Hannah falsely blamed her for things she didn’t do.
Everyone in the Powell family had come to believe that Isabella resented Hannah for taking her place and was always picking fights with her out of jealousy.
But the truth was nothing like that.
Hannah had been the one starting trouble every single time.
The original girl had been too terrified of being cast out of the Powell family, of losing the only real family she had just found, so she had stayed silent and swallowed all the resentment and lies.
Isabella had no such fears or attachments.
What was there to care about in this place, anyway?
Her voice stayed cold and firm. “She had her back to me and fell straight down. If I had pushed her…
She suddenly lifted her hand and gave a hard, sharp push.
