Edward looked at Benson with disappointment. If he couldn't even control himself and had fallen into a woman's trap, how could he be trusted to run a company in the future?
Just then, Janet and Liam came down from upstairs. As soon as they saw Edward, they began showering him with compliments, and the atmosphere warmed up again.
"Sierra, Theo, don't just stand there. Hurry up and change into your new outfits," Edward urged them, seeing that everyone else was already dressed.
The two of them went upstairs hand-in-hand. In Theo's room, they saw two outfits consisting of a black suit and a dress.
Sierra glanced around and noticed that the entire room was decorated in black and white, cold and minimalistic—just like the man who lived there. She picked up the dress and pointed toward the walk-in closet connected to the bedroom.
"I'll change in there."
Theo nodded. "I'll be right outside."
She stepped into the closet and hung the dress on a hook, only then realizing that it wasn't a traditional dress but a modernized version.
The waist was cinched, and the skirt flared out into layers of sheer fabric that ended mid-thigh. With every movement, the fabric swayed, revealing glimpses of her fair, slender legs—a mix of sensuality and playful charm.
After putting it on, she stood in front of the mirror, frowning slightly.
The dress was beautiful but didn't seem appropriate for a wedding.
"Theo, is there another outfit?" she asked, smoothening the sheer fabric and pushing the door open.
Hearing no response, she lifted her head curiously. The next second, her pupils dilated in shock.
He had already put on his pants, but his shirt was only halfway on with the fabric hanging loosely off his shoulders. His chest was fully exposed, and his defined abdominal muscles were on full display.
"Ah! Why aren't you dressed?" Sierra squealed, and her face instantly turned red as she covered it with her hands.
He calmly buttoned up his shirt with a chuckle escaping his lips.
She instinctively squeezed her eyes shut before reaching the floor. "Ah!"
Yet, the pain never came. Instead, a firm arm wrapped around her waist, steadying her.
Slowly, she opened her eyes and looked down. A strong, steady hand was holding her by the side of her waist. The contrast of colors between their clothing was unexpectedly striking.
Realizing what had happened, she quickly pushed him away and stood straight, smoothening her messy hair. "Thanks," she mumbled.
Theo kept his hand on her until he was sure she had regained her balance. Then, he crouched down and carefully adjusted the twisted hem of her dress.
"Be more careful," he murmured.
She stared at the top of his head, feeling both flustered and a little breathless.
"Are you two done yet? Edward is waiting. Hurry up and come out!"
