The King Of Warriors novel (Jared Chance) novel Chapter 6623

"How... how can that be..."

"A Golden Immortal Level One killed a Golden Immortal Level Five in one strike?"

"I must be dreaming..."

"No. It is real..."

Jared did not care about the shock behind him.

His attention moved to the remaining twelve demon hounds.

They were stunned as well.

They were not highly intelligent, but instinct told them that the weak-looking human in front of them was dangerous.

The one he had just killed had been the strongest of the pack, a peak Golden Immortal Level Five demon hound.

And it had died in one strike.

That meant this human was far stronger than his aura suggested.

Uneasy growls rose from the demon hounds.

They began to back away.

Fear filled their blood-red eyes. Their legs trembled. They wanted to turn and run.

Jared did not allow it.

He vanished from where he stood.

The next instant, he appeared in front of another demon hound.

The Dragonslayer Sword lifted.

Violet blade-light crossed the air like lightning and struck the beast's head.

Crack.

The demon hound's skull, hard enough to resist ordinary weapons, split like thin paper under chaotic force.

The blade-light cut from head to tail, splitting the beast completely in half.

Black blood sprayed into the air like a black lotus opening.

One strike.

Then another.

Jared's figure moved through the pack so quickly that no one could track him.

Only violet light could be seen flickering among the beasts.

Each flash meant another demon hound fell.

One sword for one beast.

No showy technique.

No wasted motion.

Just the simplest cuts, each carrying the annihilating force of chaos.

The demon hounds broke at last.

They scattered in every direction, desperate to escape.

Jared was faster.

The Dragonslayer Sword turned in his hand, and violet blade-light swept across the battlefield like a reaper's scythe.

Twelve demon hounds.

Twelve sword strikes.

From the first kill to the last, less than a minute passed.

Thirteen demon hound corpses lay across the ground. Black blood gathered into streams and pooled in the low areas. The stench was so thick that it almost made people retch.

Jared put away the Dragonslayer Sword and turned back to the ten cultivators.

His gray robe moved lightly in the wind.

Not a single drop of blood had touched him.

His black eyes were still calm, like still water.

The ten cultivators, including the middle-aged man, stood frozen.

Their mouths were open. Their eyes were round. Their bodies were stiff as statues.

They could not believe what they had just witnessed.

Golden Immortal Level One.

Thirteen Golden Immortal Level Five demon hounds.

Less than a minute.

All dead.

That was beyond anything they knew.

In their understanding, Golden Immortal Level One and Golden Immortal Level Five were separated by a distance as great as heaven and earth.

A Golden Immortal Level One cultivator should not have survived even one exchange against a Golden Immortal Level Five opponent.
