A Warrior's Second Chance (Faye and Alexander) novel Chapter 595

Chapter 520-

Chapter 579-1

FAYE

We came back from shopping a bit late. The sun had already gone down

The pool looked even more inviting than it had earlier.

Class

Crystal-clear water reflected the evening light, and the neatly arranged tounge chairs surrounding it made the entire place feel like a private resort.

I went upstairs with Irene to change.

When I stepped out of the room a few minutes later, I immediately spotted everyone already waiting near the pool.

Helen had changed into a simple but elegant one-piece swimsuit that somehow still looked expensive enough to belong in a magazine.

Irene walked ahead of me confidently.

I followed a second later.

The moment I stepped outside, I felt someone’s eyes on me.

I didn’t even have to look. I already knew it was Alexander.

Slowly, I turned my head.

Sure enough… he was staring.

His eyes travelled over me before finally settling on my face. The ever-composed Alpha Alexander looked like someone whose thoughts had completely abandoned him.

I almost laughed.

The swimsuit I’d picked was simple. A fitted two-piece in deep emerald green.

It wasn’t overly flashy, but it hugged my body perfectly.

I had chosen it because I liked it, even though irene had said it was too plain. I wasn’t expecting Alexander to pay this much attention.

Yet here he was…

Looking like he had forgotten everyone else existed.

His gaze hadn’t moved.

I smiled knowingly.

Then, before he could say anything, I reached up and lightly straightened the collar of his shirt.

It wasn’t necessary. There was nothing wrong with it. I simply wanted an excuse to touch him.

For the briefest second, my fingers brushed the side of his neck, and I felt the muscle there tighten immediately.

“I’m going to swim,” whispered in his ear. I saw him swallow.

His eyes narrowed ever so slightly. He knew exactly what I was doing. But he didn’t react.

I walked away before he could respond

I didn’t look back, but I could practically feel his eyes following me.

A moment later, Irene called my name.

“Are you getting in or not?”

“I’m coming!”

Without another thought, I jogged toward the edge of the pool. The cool tiles felt smooth beneath my feet

I pushed off cleanly… The dive came naturally. For one beautiful moment, everything became silent.

The water wrapped around me as I cut through it effortlessly before surfacing several metres away.

The coolness against my skin felt incredible.

I laughed out loud. I hadn’t realised how much I’d missed this.

Swimming, moving freely, feeling weightless.

I turned onto my back for a moment before rolling over again and swimming toward the opposite end.

I heard Irene splash into the water behind me.

“Wow! You’ve been hiding this from me!”

I laughed. “Hiding what?”

“You can actually swim!” Irene said. “Actually swim?”

I splashed water toward her. “I can do a lot of things.” I winked at her.

“Show-off!” Irene said.

She chased after me immediately. I laughed harder as I swam away. For the next several minutes, neither of us did anything except enjoy ourselves.

We raced from one end of the pool to the other. We splashed each other, and we argued over who cheated.

Helen eventually lowered herself into the shallow end, smiling as she watched us behave like children.

Only one person refused to move… Alexander.

I looked toward him. He was still standing near the pool, phone in hand.

At least… that was what it looked like. Because although the phone remained in his hand,
