Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 112

She fought to stay conscious, her eyes searching for Alan.

When she saw him lying motionless on the floor, her heart felt as if it were being squeezed, the pain making it hard to breathe.

Alan had been dragged into this because of her.

But she didn't have the strength to move.

Seeing Summer's helpless state, Iris felt a surge of triumph, but it wasn't enough.

She needed to crush Summer completely, to nail her to a pillar of shame so she could never recover.

She added more fuel to the fire, tears flowing on command as she sobbed.

"Summer, all I did was ask what your relationship was with that man, and you both attacked me. What did I do wrong?"

"I even warned you not to do this. I told you Vincent would be angry if he found out you were with another man, but you wouldn't listen. You defended him and hit me... sniffle..."

"Vincent loves you so much, yet you go behind his back and mess around with other men. How could you do this to him?"

Iris's tearful words struck a nerve with Vincent.

She was right.

How could Summer do this to him?

He worked himself to the bone for their family, and even if Summer didn't appreciate it, she had no right to cheat on him.

She had trampled all over his dignity.

No man would tolerate his wife making a fool of him like this.

Vincent grabbed Summer's arm, dragging her up from the floor to face him. But her body was limp.

The moment he pulled her up, she collapsed again like a rag doll.

Alan, meanwhile, was starting to recover.

The bodyguards dragged Alan away through a service exit.

Watching him get taken, Summer felt a wave of helplessness and fear. She knew what Vincent was capable of; he would torture Alan.

What could she do?

There was no one else here. She couldn't call for help.

"Are you done with the theatrics? There are too many people here, so I'll let you off for now." Vincent bent down, pulling Summer to her feet and whispering in her ear.

"We'll settle this at home." The icy words sent a shiver down her spine.

Just then, Iris spotted something that had fallen out of the handbag: the divorce papers.

She glanced at them quickly, a flash of delight in her eyes, but her face feigned shock as she gasped.

"Vincent, Summer... she..." Iris's hand trembled as she held up the papers, seemingly too stunned to speak.
