The main hall was buzzing with conversation, the guests oblivious to the spectacular live show unfolding on the second floor.
As Yates and Jacqueline's fragmented conversation continued, Janina pieced together what Yates was planning to do to her brother.
Maggie slipped out for a moment and returned, giving Janina an "OK" sign. Then, she led Janina and the others down to the main hall to wait for the show to begin. Why enjoy the fun alone when you could share it with everyone?
Suddenly, the image on the large screen above the stage in the hall changed. What had been a loop of corporate advertisements was abruptly replaced by a three-way split-screen of surveillance footage. It showed the earlier videos of Yates embracing Lynn and Jacqueline-all filmed before the drugging incident.
To avoid offending the audience, the footage of Jacqueline and Yates's current activities was kept off-screen for now.
Maggie, meanwhile, sent a link to the live feed from Lynn's room to their private chat. Lynn was casually crossing her legs, chatting on the phone with a friend.
The guests, noticing the change, began to quiet down, their eyes fixed on the large screen. Everyone loves a bit of gossip, and most were just settling in for the drama. No one bothered to question why private footage was being displayed on the main screen.
Whispers started to spread.
"Hey, isn't that Yates? The woman he's with doesn't look like his girlfriend." A man who had worked with Yates before was shocked to see him on screen. His eyes scanned the crowd and finally landed on Yates's girlfriend-Melody.
After a moment of shock, he walked over to an equally stunned Melody. "Is... is that Yates? Are they...? Did you two break up?"
