When Marjorie woke up the next morning, her world fell apart.
She couldn't believe the scandalous videos spreading like wildfire online were of Clark's encounter in the bathroom.
At first, hearing the audio, she thought a fourth person must have been there yesterday, recording them.
She wondered what kind of jerk would secretly film something like that. At such a critical juncture, she couldn't afford to have a falling out with Clark.
But as she listened more closely, something felt wrong.
The man's voice was definitely Clark's, but the woman wasn't Jasmine.
Clark was calling her "Jenny."
And their conversation was completely different from what she had overheard yesterday.
When she heard the unfamiliar name, Marjorie's mind went blank. For a long time, she couldn't process it.
When she finally came to her senses, her eyes were filled with a mixture of rage, hatred, despair, and sorrow.
That scumbag Clark didn't just have one mistress, he had another.
In that moment, her heart shattered.
She had witnessed him with one mistress yesterday and had mustered all her strength to try and accept it.
But now, there was a second one.
Did that mean there were even more women she didn't know about?
An overwhelming sense of heartache and hopelessness washed over her.
She wanted to tear Clark to pieces. She couldn't accept it.
She couldn't accept that she had wasted so much time on him, only to end up with nothing.
Devastated, Marjorie left the house without even taking her phone, wandering out in a daze.
She didn't know where to go. She just walked aimlessly through her neighborhood.
What was she supposed to do now?
Pretend she didn't know?
Impossible. The video was all over the internet. Her friends would see it. She couldn't play dumb like she did yesterday.
But leaving Clark meant pushing a money tree into the arms of another woman.
She couldn't stand that thought.
Why should another woman benefit from her loss?
He knew then that she must have already seen it.
He couldn't afford a fight with her right now. They were about to take their engagement photos.
He had just barely convinced his parents that he was ready to change his ways. If anything else went wrong, they would surely cut off his credit cards again.
So he had to coax Marjorie into marrying him. As for what happened after the wedding...
Once he got his hands on her assets, she couldn't control him anymore. He would be free to live as he pleased.
By some coincidence, he had run into West at the neighborhood gate, and they had started walking in together.
They didn't speak.
Clark was still resentful toward West.
And West had no desire to acknowledge Clark at all.
So they walked in silence.
When Marjorie saw the two figures, one tall and one short, the visual contrast hit her with brutal force.
West was tall and handsome, with broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and an air of sophistication.
Clark was slightly overweight, shorter, and had very plain features.
