She considered ordering delivery, but it would likely be cold by the time it arrived, and she didn't want that. So, to satisfy her craving, she went to a pizza place she used to frequent and ordered a pasta and a pizza.
Just as she finished eating and was about to leave, she glanced out the window and caught sight of Yvonne.
Janina immediately sat back down and took out her phone to take a picture. It was freezing outside, and Yvonne was heavily pregnant. She couldn't possibly be out just for a bite to eat, could she?
Suppressing her curiosity, Janina kept her eyes on Yvonne.
Yvonne, beaming, was walking straight toward the pizza place.
Damn it! You've got to be kidding me. She's really here for pizza?
Janina quickly let her hair down, pulled a hat over her face, and leaned back in her chair, pretending to be asleep. In this state, even Wendy might not recognize her at first glance. The hat didn't completely cover her eyes, and through the gap under the brim, she saw Yvonne walk to a corner table and sit down, her back conveniently facing Janina.
Janina shifted the hat up slightly, widening her field of view. Across from Yvonne sat an elegant man in a dress shirt, his coat draped over the back of his chair. He looked a lot like the man from Kenneth's video yesterday—at least the build and hairstyle were the same.
Janina raised an eyebrow. This was getting interesting. Meeting the same man privately for two days in a row while heavily pregnant, and acting so intimately.
Janina grabbed her bag, got up, and walked out of the pizza place, hoping to follow them and find out more. As she walked, she sent the video and photos she had just taken to Kenneth, asking him to identify the man as soon as possible. But by the time she got outside, the pair was nowhere in sight.
Oh well. The photos and video were enough.
When she got home from work, Land had already prepared dinner and was setting the table. It was just Janina, West, Nolan, and Wendy at home now, but Land made a point of cooking a variety of dishes every day. For the four of them, plus herself, she had made a fantastic spread.
After the last dish was served, Janina quickly gestured for Land to sit down. "There aren't many of us, Land. You don't have to be so formal. Just eat with us."
