Janina gently pulled her back. "Land, just try eating with us. If you're really not comfortable, we can talk about it later!"

"That's right, Land. You don't have to be so formal in our house. Just relax," Nolan chimed in.

Over the past few months of observation, Janina had found Land to be a very honest and diligent person, not at all pretentious, with a simple social life. She wanted to treat her with the same kindness and trust she hoped to receive.
