Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 610

“They say you dream about what you worry about during the day. The police have ruled Damaris’s death a suicide, so don’t overthink it. It’ll just wear you out.”

Wendy Clifford comforted her, then curled her legs up on the sofa, looking to be in a very good mood.

Janina was still preoccupied with Damaris, Elena, and Yvonne, and didn't notice Wendy's expression.

She said worriedly, “Elena and Yvonne have teamed up. I just don’t know what their plan is. The thought of those two together just gives me the creeps…”

“You think about so many things all day. It's exhausting. Here, have some of these to boost your brainpower.”

Janina's sentence was cut off by West, who was holding a bag of walnuts.

He sat down naturally next to Wendy, picked up a nutcracker, cracked two walnuts, and handed the nutmeats to Janina and Wendy.

Janina ate her walnut absentmindedly.

Then her eyes shifted.

She saw West place a piece of walnut directly into Wendy's mouth.

Her eyes went wide. She sat up straight, forgetting to even chew the walnut in her own mouth.

Janina pointed at the two of them, a smile finally breaking across her face. When she spoke, she stuttered, “You… you… West… you and Wendy… you’re…”

“Whoa, calm down, calm down. Let me explain,” West said, holding up a hand as Janina got too excited to speak. “Wendy and I are together.”

As he said it, he took Wendy's hand, their fingers intertwining.

West waved his hand. “We have a plan. Next week, I’m taking Wendy to the countryside to tell Mom and Dad. Since my older brother and his wife are having their reception for the New Year, I was thinking maybe Wendy and I could have our reception then, too.”

Janina's prediction had come true. She gave him a thumbs-up in full support, then suddenly thought of something. “I’m all for it, but the New Year is less than two months away. Is that enough time?”

“It’s enough. We’re taking wedding photos this weekend, and we’re already picking out rings. We’ll buy everything we need this month.”

West methodically ticked off items on his fingers—what to buy for the wedding, who to invite, preparing invitations, and so on. He listed so many things that Janina got tired just listening. It was clear he was already well into the planning.

She was already starting to look forward to her brothers' weddings.

Janina decided to hand over the whole mess with Yvonne and Elena to Kenneth. She didn't want to worry about it anymore.

Her best friend was getting married, and of course, she had to help.
