Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 93

Summer ignored Iris's taunts and handed a card to the manager.

The manager, relieved that the situation seemed to be calming down, quickly took the card to process the payment.

Less than a minute later, he returned with an awkward expression. "Ma'am, I'm very sorry, but your card has insufficient funds. Perhaps you'd like to pay with another method?"

Summer's face froze, her already pale complexion turning even whiter.

A derisive chuckle broke the tension. "Well, well, Miss Quinn. Putting on a show, were we? All that attitude for someone with no money. Heh."

Iris leaned against the counter, propping her chin on one hand, thoroughly enjoying the spectacle. The face behind her sunglasses was twisted into a smug, wild grin.

Summer seemed to realize something. She took a half-step back but refused to show weakness.

Her face ashen, she pulled out her wallet and produced two more cards.

The price tag on the dress made her eyelids twitch.

As someone who rarely spent lavishly, being put on the spot like this in a luxury boutique was beyond humiliating.

The manager quickly took the cards, but he returned just as quickly, the same awkward smile plastered on his face. "I'm sorry, ma'am, but neither of these cards will go through."

Summer's face was deathly pale. The only person who could have frozen her cards was Vincent.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Miss Quinn, you really are a special kind of stupid."

Iris stepped closer to Summer, leaning in to whisper in her ear.

"After all, a washed-up hag like you has no business wearing such a beautiful dress. Who are you even trying to impress? Right?"
