Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 96

"Some people, what's the use of holding onto the title of 'wife'? The one Vincent loves is me."

The last thread of Summer's sanity snapped.

She lunged forward, grabbing a fistful of Iris's curly hair and delivering two sharp slaps.

The crisp sound of the slaps silenced the entire boutique.

Before Iris could react, another slap landed on her other cheek, sending her sunglasses flying.

Everyone in the store froze. Janina and her friends, who had been about to charge forward to intervene, stopped in their tracks.

They couldn't get involved in a physical fight directly, but they could have easily snatched the dress from Iris and thrown a few insults her way.

But Summer had beaten them to it.

Now that a fight had broken out, it was best they didn't interfere.

The wife beating the mistress—it was perfectly justified.

This was a rage Summer needed to vent herself.

Good for her.

Hit her harder!

From behind the racks, Janina and her friends raised their fists, cheering Summer on.

"Aaaah!" Iris shrieked. The slaps had dazed her; she couldn't believe the ever-gentle Summer would actually hit her.

"How dare you hit me? You bitch!" Iris wasn't one to take a beating. She recovered and swung back.

A slap landed, and a red mark instantly appeared on Summer's face.

Summer was already running on fumes. Weakened by her illness, her body quickly began to give out.

Seeing Summer at a disadvantage, Janina and her friends rushed forward, clumsily trying to 'break up the fight.'

"Hey, hey, let's talk this out! We're all women here, no need to get physical!"

Janina pretended to pull them apart but in reality, she pinned Iris's arms.

Maggie grabbed Iris's waist from behind.

Iris just stared. Are you kidding me? she screamed inside her head.

Summer, now on a roll, ignored her breathlessness, grabbed Iris by the hair, and pushed her to the ground to continue the assault.

The others backed her up perfectly. On the surface, they were trying to hold Summer back — but really, they were clearing the way for her to move.

With the help of Janina, Maggie, Wendy, and Melody, Summer straddled Iris and rained down blows.

The manager watched, stunned. Did this look like breaking up a fight to anyone?

Her gaze shifted from the furious Summer to Janina and her friends, and suddenly, it all clicked.

Holy crap! This was a setup.

But, weirdly, the manager felt a sense of satisfaction.

The manager quietly stepped back, glanced at the security camera in the corner, then back at the screaming Iris.

She went to the back room and told the still-shocked sales associate to call the police.

The associate snapped out of it, her hands trembling as she dialed. It was terrifying. She had never seen anything like it.
