CHAPTER SIXTY SIX
GABRIELLE’S POV…..
“Why?” he asked softly, his breath warm against my ear and neck.
A shiver ran down my spine as his hands pushed my wet hair aside, his fingers grazing the sensitive skin at the nape of my neck
Heat coiled low in my stomach, spreading upward until it mingled with the rising tension in my chest. At first, I told myself i was anger but as his hands traced the curve of my face, I knew the truth: it was desire.
Thated how my body betrayed me, leaning back before my pride had a chance to intervene.
“Let go of me,” I said, though my voice trembled with the exact opposite of defiance.
“Say it like you mean it,” he murmured, low and huskily. “And Pll let you go, Gabrielle.”
Goosebumps erupted across my skin, every nerve alive under his touch.
“The last thing I need is you touching me right now,” I said, hating the way my voice shook.
His hands were on my stomach now, caressing my skin slowly, and moving even lower to my waist.
“Is that so?” He murmured.
Warmth rushed to my face, embarrassment washing over me.
I hated that I was letting him get under my skin and hated even more the way heat gathered between my thighs while he tried to charm his way back into my good graces.
I struggled against his hold, but he didn’t release me.
“Let me go, Damon,” I sneered, a fresh spike of anger surging through me. “You left the city without saying a word after our fight. Then I see girls dancing for you and on you.”
“Oh, so that’s it,” he murmured, his breath hot against my skin, his touch igniting sparks everywhere it lingered. “That’s why you’re this angry, isn’t it?”
I bit my lip as his teeth brushed my ear, my body betraying me by letting out an involuntary moan. I stiffened, trying to break free again, but his grip held tight.
“Leave me the fuck alone, Damon,” I snapped, more frustrated with myself than with him. “Go back to the women you’d rather sleep with.”
“No.”
No?
I almost wanted to slap him.
“You will let me go this instant, Damon Gravari,” I said again.
“Mmhm,” he hummed, his hand on the string of my panties. “You don’t sound convincing, Gabrielle. Try again.”
I rolled my eyes and gritted my teeth. The sooner I admitted that I was mad at him, the sooner he would let me go.
“Fine. Why did you leave without telling me? And where did you go?”
His hand stilled for some seconds and I thought he wouldn’t answer. He didn’t loosen his hold, but the teasing edge vanished from his posture, replaced by something closed off.
“I don’t report my movements,” he said flatly.

CHAPTER SIXTY SA
*25 Borus
I scoffed. “We’re married, Damon. Not business partners.”
His grip finally cased, just enough for me to turn slightly in his arms. I looked up at him, water dripping down my spine, and fury buzzing under my skin.
“You vanished,” I continued. “After the fight that happened that night. And then I see stories of you with women.”
His jaw tightened. “Stories.”
“Yes, Fiorella’s I*******m stories.”
He didn’t respond.
His eyes held mine, softening slightly. His hand caressed my face again, pausing briefly on the curve of my lips.
“I might have been miles away,” he finally said. “But I was here with you. I was watching you the whole time, Gabrielle.”
I froze. “What do you mean?”
He turned me around so my back was touching his chest before leaning down to whisper in my ear.
“I watched you shop online for hours with my card,” he said, his hands sliding over the swell of my breast.
My breath hitched, half from anticipation, half from dread.
“Damon…,”
whimpered, my voice barely audible and trembling between disbelief and the heat pooling inside me.
“I watched you eat, and I watched you sit and do nothing–not a single skip,” he continued, his voice low and husky, sending shivers down my spine.
My stomach fluttered uncontrollably as his hands lingered possessively, and my mind spun.
How did he watch me?
He must have installed cameras around.
The thought made my heart race, a mix of alarm and an inexplicable thrill.
I wanted to pull away, to tell him to stop but my body refused to cooperate, and it pressed into his touch in ways I didn’t want to
admit.
Every brush of his fingers and every husky word, tangled my fear, frustration, and desire into a dizzying knot.
But then, my eyes fluttered open again.
If he watched me the whole time that meant he-
“And I watched you slide your fingers between your thighs….,” he continued as his fingers pinched hard on my nipples. “…and made yourself come with my name on your lips.”
A loud moan spilled out of my lips before I could stop myself.
