“Didn’t I bid first?” Aria leaned back in her chair, a playful look on her face. “How is it that you suddenly like it the moment I place a bid?”

“No, that’s not it. I was just asking, Aria. I didn’t say I liked it…”

Lilith quickly moved to sit beside Charles, lowering her head and saying no more.

Charles looked up and took in the scene.

He reached out and pressed the button. “Two million.”

“Flora likes this kind of thing.”

Lilith whispered, “But Aria likes it too…”
