After All the Hurt, She Chose Herself novel Chapter 113

Charles might not have known the full story, but how could Lilith and Aria not understand?

After Lilith transferred to Aria’s school and befriended Flora, Flora had started targeting Aria, sometimes subtly, sometimes not.

Aria refused to believe that Lilith hadn’t been stirring up trouble between them.

Unfortunately, she had no proof. Otherwise, she would have sent them both to jail.

But considering Lilith’s illness, she probably would have been granted medical parole even with evidence.

Aria sighed with regret.

“Flora’s in jail? Where did she go?” Lilith looked instinctively at Charles. “Charles, when you asked for my password, wasn’t it because Flora forgot hers and was too busy with work at the Keene Group to visit me?”

“Why is Aria saying Flora’s in jail?”

“So, you haven’t told Lilith yet?” Aria sneered, lounging in her seat. “Your dear friend threatened and slandered me for your sake, and now she’s enjoying a nice little stay in a jail cell.”

Lilith’s face gradually turned pale, and her fingers clutched at Charles’s sleeve. “Charles, that’s not true, right? Aria is lying to me, isn’t she?”

“Lilith…” Charles quickly tried to soothe her. “I’m already handling Flora’s situation. You don’t need to worry.”

Charles was also anxious about Flora being locked up.

But getting her out required following the proper procedures.

His lawyer had already submitted most of the paperwork. Once it was approved, Flora would be released.

“So, it really is because of me?”

“What’s going on here?” Gideon pushed the door open after watching the video. Seeing Lilith looking so distraught, he frowned. “Did you bully her again?”

With just a few words, he pinned all the blame on Aria.

Aria found it so laughable she couldn’t even be bothered to defend herself.

He had seen the video. Aria had been working for him since she was twenty; Gideon would never mistake her voice.

The voice in that video was undeniably Aria’s.
