Raphael’s body looked no different from that of a healthy person, but his pulse indicated he was incredibly weak.
“So, I got lucky. As soon as I returned, I heard the good news that Dawn was preparing to tackle genetic diseases, so I immediately applied to be a test subject.”
Aria’s voice was tight with concern. “Do you really have that much faith in Dawn? They’re only in the early stages. What if the research fails?”
“But aren’t there 9,999 chances for them to succeed?” Raphael smiled nonchalantly. “Besides, I’ve always had good luck.”
“For instance?”
Raphael suddenly leaned closer, his dark eyes reflecting only her. He let out a low chuckle. “That’s a secret.”
After saying that, Raphael retreated to a safe distance.
Aria felt a little puzzled. But everyone has little secrets they don’t want to share, so she wouldn't press him.
“Let me write you a prescription for a few herbal remedies.”
Aria took out her phone and started typing. “I created a therapeutic diet for Gideon before, so I have some experience with this kind of illness.”
Her fingers flew across the screen. Since Raphael was already taking some alternative medicine and had some knowledge of it, the process went smoothly.
“Follow the formula I sent you. Drink it once every three days, and you should see some effect within a month. But the formula is personalized, so only you can take it.”
Just moments ago, Eveline had mentioned that Gideon might also have a genetic disease. Aria was worried Raphael might give the formula to Gideon, so she made sure to add a warning.
Different symptoms required different dosages. Even for the same disease, improper use of medication was risky.
“Make sure you brew it for the full amount of time. It’s best to make it fresh and take it at a fixed time each day. If you feel any discomfort after taking it, let me know, and I’ll adjust the formula accordingly.”
Raphael saved the image Aria sent him on his messaging app and nodded. “Okay.”
With that settled, Aria lay back down on the bed.
It was a VIP room, so Raphael had his own bed as the guest.
