After All the Hurt, She Chose Herself novel Chapter 236

As the four of them entered the living room, Eveline immediately noticed a bowl of dark, bitter-smelling herbal medicine on the table.

"Whose medicine is this? What's going on?"

"It's mine," Raphael spoke up. "Aria wrote me a prescription. I'm drinking it every day now."

Eveline's expression soured again, and her voice turned shrill. "You prescribed medicine for him? Then why didn't you prescribe any for Gideon!?"

Aria shot Eveline a look. "Why should I prescribe him anything? Weren't you the one who accused me of trying to make Gideon sick with that special diet? If I gave him medicine now, you'd probably kill me."

Eveline's face flushed.

When Aria had first married Gideon, she had him start that diet, and who knew what her intentions were back then? Besides, she didn't know at the time that Aria was so skilled and even knew Dawn. If she had known, she wouldn't have said such things.

"It's your own fault for not making your skills clear. Was it wrong for me to be suspicious of your intentions?" Eveline mumbled. "Anyway, I know what you're capable of now, so you should hurry up and prescribe something for Gideon!"

Aria completely ignored her and started to maneuver her wheelchair toward her room.

Annoyed, Eveline reached out and grabbed Aria's wheelchair. "You stop right there! As long as you're Gideon's wife, you have a responsibility to him!"

Aria scoffed. "It's not that I won't prescribe him anything, but his condition hasn't even been properly diagnosed. How can I give him medication?"

"Really?"

"Yes, really. Now let go. Everyone's busy, so you should stop wasting your time thinking of ways to make my life difficult."

"I'm about to get divorced anyway. You and I won't have to see each other for much longer!"

The cooling-off period with Gideon was almost over, and the thought filled Aria with joy.
