After All the Hurt, She Chose Herself novel Chapter 245

She hadn't done it, so she wasn't afraid of any evidence that might point to her.

"You were the only one with Lilith when she died! Who else could it be?!"

Flora gritted her teeth. "Who knows if you hid the syringe? You've probably destroyed the evidence by now!"

"Officer, she's a medical student herself! Maybe she used the saline as a cover to fool all of us! Her real goal was to destroy the syringe she hid!"

"Flora, can you take responsibility for your words?" Aria's voice turned cold. "This is slander!"

"Ms. Rowan, please don't blame Ms. Keene. She's just having a hard time accepting Lilith's passing."

The strange woman gently comforted Roxanne before turning to stand in front of Aria.

"Hello, I'm a good friend of Lilith's. My name is Ivy Wynn."

Wynn?

The surname was rare, but Aria had some recollection of the name. She was said to be the only daughter of the prestigious Wynn family and had been studying abroad for nearly a decade.

"Hello, I'm Aria."

As she finished speaking, the strange man in the station fixed his gaze on Aria, studying her for a few seconds without much subtlety.

Ivy spoke up. "This is Bradley Holt. He's a friend of mine who came with me."

Bradley gave Aria a slight nod, his expression hardened, but he didn't say anything.

The police officer spoke again. "Ms. Rowan, can you recount the details of your contact with the deceased at that time?"

"Why did you inject the deceased with saline solution?"

"I can."

To prove her innocence, Aria also pulled up the messages Lilith had sent her.

"Lilith sent me a message asking me to bring it. But I knew her condition was poor and that the medicine wouldn't do her any good, so I took some sodium chloride from the lab instead."
