After All the Hurt, She Chose Herself novel Chapter 249

The driver, seeing Aria leave the police station alone, felt sorry for her and offered to help her with the wheelchair.

"Young lady, what were you doing at the police station in the middle of the night? Get into some trouble?"

"Just got framed and blackmailed."

Aria said it nonchalantly, but only she knew how much it stung.

"That's terrible. Why would someone pick on a young woman like you?"

The driver clicked his tongue a few times and drove off.

Right, why would they pick on her?

"Aria, where have you been?"

Raphael, dressed in workout clothes and carrying groceries, frowned when he saw her.

"You're up early?"

"I was at the police station. Lilith's autopsy results came in, so the police questioned me."

Raphael naturally took hold of Aria's wheelchair. "What were the results?"

"Someone injected a large amount of air into Lilith before she died. The police suspected me, but I've been cleared now."

Raphael grunted in acknowledgment and pushed Aria back to her apartment.

"Want some oatmeal?"

He acted like the man of the house, taking the groceries and occupying the kitchen. When he saw the dark circles under her eyes, his heart ached.

"Or should you get some sleep first?"

"I'll eat something first."

She had a history of stomach problems, but her time in the hospital had forced her into a regular eating schedule. It was a good habit she didn't want to break.

"Okay, it'll be ready soon."
