After All the Hurt, She Chose Herself novel Chapter 274

Ivy's expression remained perfectly composed.

Since Aria had laid it all out, there was no need to waste time arguing.

"I need to review Lilith's medical records and test results to assess the drug's impact on her system."

"I have them all right here."

Flora immediately forwarded the digital files to Ivy's phone.

"These are the official electronic records. I had them sealed the moment the incident happened, so they haven't been tampered with."

Going through Lilith's extensive medical history would take time, so Aria didn't pace anxiously. Instead, she sat back down on the bench.

She had recovered somewhat, but standing for too long still brought a dull ache to her lower abdomen.

Raphael wheeled Aldous over to sit beside Aria.

Aldous cast a few awkward glances her way before asking, "How is your recovery coming along?"

"Much better," she replied.

Aldous was genuinely conflicted. He used to despise what he thought were her manipulative tactics, but once the truth came out, he subconsciously didn't want to face it.

Ignoring the truth was the only way he could justify keeping her in the Evernight family.

He opened his mouth but couldn't find the words, leaving the three of them in a heavy silence.

Seeing Raphael sitting so close to her, Gideon's expression darkened as he took a seat on the opposite side of the room.

Aria deliberately shifted closer to Raphael.

"Don't get too comfortable. I only agreed to let you out to sign those papers. As long as we aren't divorced, I won't drop the lawsuit."

Gideon's gaze dropped to her neck.

There were faint purple bruises marring her skin.

"I didn't ask you to drop it. But let me make this clear, Aria. Even if I go to prison, I'm never divorcing you."

He reached out and tugged at the collar of her turtleneck sweater. The movement exposed the angry, mottled bruises wrapping around her throat.

Aria instantly clamped a hand over her neck. "What are you doing?!"
