After All the Hurt, She Chose Herself novel Chapter 335

Alden glanced at the now-silent Aria and sighed.

He had known the two of them were dating back then, but no one could have predicted things would end up like this.

"Since Charles is making a mess of things, let's send him to the Flourish East Annex."

Because of Flora, even though Charles no longer had clearance, she was out now and planning to marry him. If she caused any more trouble, it could jeopardize Aria's current research.

Aria nodded, then added, "We need to choose a location for Flourish East Campus quickly. There's probably not enough time to build a new one."

Raphael cleared his throat. "The Keene Group has been too preoccupied to manage its affairs lately. To cover their tax bill, they sold off several plots of land. One of them would be perfect for the Flourish East Campus. We'd just need to purchase some lab equipment."

Aria was a bit surprised. The Evernight family's wealth was truly immeasurable. It wasn't just about having the money to buy land; it was the casual way Raphael spoke of it, as if he were commenting on the weather.

Raphael sent the property details to Alden. "If you think it's suitable, I'll handle the rest."

In just a few words, the matter of Flourish East Campus was settled.

On the way back, Raphael watched Aria's expression soften and breathed a quiet sigh of relief.

"The trial is tomorrow. Do you have all the necessary evidence?"

Aria nodded. "After the Evernight family dropped their suit, there isn't much to prepare besides that agreement."

As they were talking, Aria's phone rang.

The caller ID showed Gideon. It was a call on her messaging app.

If it weren't for the two hundred million dollars he still held, Aria would have blocked him long ago.

Right now, she had no desire to answer.

"Aria, I want to talk to you about withdrawing the lawsuit," Gideon's voice was hoarse. "Can we meet?"

"What's there to talk about? Isn't it just that Charles promised Ivy he'd get her into the institute if she could convince you to drop the suit?"

Aria scoffed. "You really went to great lengths to get Ivy into Flourish Dominion. What else is there for us to discuss? Do you want me to forgive you? Or maybe you want me to understand your 'good intentions'? Gideon, can you stop pretending? We're divorced. Who you're good to has nothing to do with me anymore. But you can't make grand gestures at someone else's expense and then expect them to understand, can you? How disgusting can you be?"

The mere thought of him made Aria’s skin crawl with disgust.

Gideon was a parasite. Thank God they were divorced; otherwise, there was no telling what other outrageous things he might do.

Stunned into silence by her words, Gideon knew he was in the wrong. "This was my fault. In a week, I'll transfer you an extra hundred million dollars as my apology. Is that okay?"

Aria had only one word in reply: "Get lost."
