Raphael's Adam's apple bobbed slightly as he let out a soft laugh in agreement.
The two drove back to Aria's house, where Raphael quickly installed a tracking app on her phone.
For added security, Raphael had his assistant deliver a bracelet. It wasn't a designer piece, but the style was beautiful.
"This has a tracker too."
Raphael fastened the bracelet on Aria's wrist.
"Isn't this a bit much? One tracker isn't enough?"
"Just in case."
Aria blinked. "If the two trackers are in different locations, what will you do?"
A corner of Raphael's mouth lifted.
"If you're in danger, I won't play the hero and go after you alone."
Aria's ears grew a little hot.
As they stood in a comfortable silence, the doorbell rang.
"Aria! Aria! Are you there?"
It was Mira's voice.
Aria quickly snapped back to reality and went to open the door.
"Aria! You have to see what's trending! A bunch of reporters went to Lilith's funeral! The story about you got out!"
Aria felt a headache coming on.
She had just dealt with the online drama, and now the Rowan family was starting another round.
She was so tired of it.
Aria took out her phone and scrolled for a bit. This time, her name took up half of the top ten trending topics.
Headlines like "Aria Disowns Her Family" and "The Mystery of Aria's True Parents" left her speechless.
Unsurprisingly, her private messages and comment sections had exploded again.
