She was incredibly weak, and Roxanne sat by her side, constantly wiping away tears.
“Lilith, I’ve got the medicine. Don’t worry.”
After Charles administered the drug, Lilith’s condition did indeed improve.
Flora breathed a sigh of relief.
“That’s wonderful! Lilith isn’t rejecting the drug. Even though it’s a small dose, the effect is obvious!”
Charles nodded. “As long as we can find Dawn to clear the lesions in Lilith’s body, the damage to her central nervous system will be much easier to manage.”

Aria returned to the Evernight estate.
Gideon wasn’t there, but Eveline was.
“Aria, come here.” Eveline beckoned to Aria as if she were a pet. “I have something to tell you.”
Aria frowned, not wanting to go over.
But a maid was already blocking her path, so she pragmatically walked over.
“What is it?”
“You’re deliberately going after Lilith just to get back at Gideon, aren’t you?”
The thought that Aria knew about the misdiagnosis but didn’t stop Gideon from administering the medication made Eveline think Aria was truly cruel.
Although she looked down on Aria’s actions, she couldn't help but think that Aria did it all out of jealousy.
It was all because Gideon was so outstanding!
Eveline’s expression was proud. “Gideon is not like you. He’s the heir to the Evernight Group. It’s perfectly normal for him to have many women around him. If you’re this jealous, how can you be a proper daughter-in-law of the Evernight family?”
Aria felt a cold, humorless laugh bubbling up in her throat. She didn’t even want to waste a single breath on such a stupid person.
Because she had always been so obedient to Gideon over the years, did Eveline really think she would never divorce him?
