After Being Replaced I Left Them All Behind-Now They Regret It novel Chapter 219

Chapter 219

Chapter 219

Jason picked up on Alicia’s confusion.

He said, “I’ve been suspicious too. I’ve already got people keeping an eye on them and looking into it.

“But even if there’s someone pulling the strings behind the scenes, they haven’t had any direct contact with Nicole and Mavis.

“We need to dig deeper.”

Alicia nodded. “Go ahead. I won’t be able to relax until we get to the bottom of this.”

In her last life, Alicia was in a car on an overpass when, out of nowhere, the whole bridge collapsed-and that was how she died.

She’d been overseas at the time, so she never suspected a thing. To her, it was just an accident, nothing more.

But now, the more Alicia thought about it, the more uneasy she felt. ‘Something’s off. I must’ve missed something crucial,’ she told herself.

She kept replaying the scene in her head, unable to let it go, searching for the missing piece.

After a while, Ian called Alicia.

“Ally, one of the big clients we’re trying to win over is having some health issues.

“He stumbled across a video of you treating someone, and now he wants to know if you could check him out.

“He’s already seen specialists and tried conventional treatments-but nothing’s worked for him so far.”

Once he saw her video and heard she’d inherited her granddad’s skills, he got in touch with her right away.

Alicia thought for a moment before asking, “Is Collin trying to win over this client too?”

Ian replied, “Yeah.

“Jason and I recently decided to team up on a smart nursing robot project.

“Delaney Group is working on their own nursing robot too, so they’re probably aiming for the same thing.

“Oh, and we’re planning to use the nursing robots we develop in that eco wellness project.

Delaney Group are probably planning the same.

“I heard that client reached out to Collin too. He’ll probably reach out to you soon.”

Alicia instantly realized this was the same client Collin had asked her to help connect with her granddad for treatment.

“Just send me the basics about his condition,” Alicia said.

“I’ve invested in the eco wellness project too, so you know I’m rooting for us,” she added.

Ian chuckled. “Alright, I’ll send it over right now.”

‘So Alicia’s clearly not planning to help Collin out,’ Ian thought, picking up on her stance.

‘She’s so straightforward about who she likes and dislikes-just like her mom. I really like that,’ Ian mused.

After reading through the client’s details, Alicia knew exactly what she needed to do.

She didn’t reply right away. Instead, she got up and looked through the local specialties the villagers had gifted her.

She remembered there was a bag of wild mountain tea-handpicked and roasted by the villagers.

Just as she remembered, it was right there.

She brewed two cups, took a slow sip from one, letting the taste linger on her tongue.

Then she pulled up the client’s file again, scanning through it one more time.

With the other cup in hand, she headed back to Jason’s room.

She asked Jason, “Is that big client you’re trying to win over still involved in international trade?”

Jason replied, “He started out in international trade and made his fortune there. After that, he got into high-tech and smart industries and did really well.

“But he’s still got his foot in the international trade game.”

He asked, “What’s up?”

Alicia replied, “I think I’ve come up with a way to help Greenpeak Village thrive. I’ll go it out and make sure it works tomorrow.

“Of course, that’s only if I can actually cure that big client.”

Jason smiled. “I trust your skills.”

Alicia handed Jason the cup. “Give it a try and tell me what you think.”

Jason blew on it and took a sip. “The aroma’s rich, it’s refreshing and mellow, with a nice fragrance and a sweet aftertaste. This is really good.
