Isabella was different now.
Lately, Susan was starting to think Ethan had changed too. Maybe he wasn’t as cold toward Isabella as everyone thought.
Susan decided she should probably change a little herself, maybe start treating Isabella better. If Ethan ever did fall for her, being kind to Isabella might be the best way to keep her job as housekeeper.
“She hung up on Natalie’s call, and that really set me off,” Ethan said, frustration clear in his voice. “If she’s rude to me, fine, I can deal with it. But if she’s disrespectful to Natalie, that I can’t accept.”
“I never even raise my voice at Natalie. I treat her like she’s the most important person in my life, and Isabella dares to act like that with her?”
“Does she really not get how I feel about Natalie?”
Susan didn’t know what to say.
What was she supposed to do now? Ethan was still hopelessly in love with Natalie, after all. Maybe she’d been overthinking everything.
Ethan and Natalie had grown up together. That kind of love, more than a decade in the making, wasn’t something you could just forget. Sure, Ethan had known Isabella for almost twenty years too, but those three months of fake dating before they got married didn’t mean much. Since the wedding, they’d slept in separate rooms. They were husband and wife by name only.
Could Ethan really fall for Isabella?
“Ethan, Isabella loves you. If you throw her things out over Natalie, that’s going to hurt her a lot,” Susan said, trying to keep her tone gentle.
“She probably hung up on Natalie because she was jealous. Natalie is her rival, after all.”
“Her rival,” Susan repeated, her voice a little sharper.
“You’re not childish. You’re very mature,” Susan said, humoring him like he was a stubborn kid.
“Susan, I’m not three,” Ethan protested.
She couldn’t help thinking that right now, he was acting even more immature than a three-year-old.
A few moments later, Susan’s phone rang. After she answered, she turned to Ethan. “Ethan, the lights at Isabella’s place are off. I asked the security guard, and he said she hasn’t been back.”
Ethan frowned, worry flickering in his eyes. Where could Isabella have gone?
“Alright, Susan. I want to be alone for a while. Go get some rest.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
