"You can fight all you want, but lives cannot be collateral damage. Whether Natalie knew she was pregnant or not, the fact remains that she lost my grandchild. That was a human life. This time, you crossed a massive line."
"Jordan and Natalie spent ages trying for a child. To finally conceive only to have you beat her into a miscarriage—they've been physically and emotionally traumatized. Of course they're bitter. It's perfectly normal for them to be resentful."
Deborah argued defensively, "Didn't you already compensate them? You gave Jordan The Lane Group Equity, and Kevin doesn't even have a single percent to his name."
"You've given Jordan so much! What does our Kevin have? Just some allowance money and a couple of apartments. Mere apartments! He doesn't even have a villa."
The house she lived in before moving into the Lane Estate was registered in her name, not her son's.
Because Kevin was still young, he only had two apartments under his name. The allowances and cash gifts Jackson gave him during the holidays were saved up by Deborah, amounting to a few million dollars, but compared to what Jordan possessed, it was like comparing a mosquito to an elephant.
"Yes, we were wrong, and we apologized! And you gave them so much compensation! Yet they still crashed the wedding to make a scene. They completely destroyed my dignity, and you didn't look much better either."
"Just wait, tomorrow's front pages will be plastered with our faces, and it's absolutely going to tank the Lane Group's stock."
Jackson's face was grim. "I'll handle tomorrow's problems tomorrow. Regardless, this incident is over. I will speak with Jordan and Natalie privately."
He paused, then added, "If you really can't figure out a way to live under the same roof, then we'll have no choice but to go through with The Estate Dissolution."
"What do you mean, dissolution? You're still so young and healthy, why would we split the estate? Your son and daughter-in-law should be here to show you proper filial respect."
It wasn't that Deborah didn't want to split the estate and live separately—it was because she knew Jackson still didn't fully favor Kevin. With Jordan having the backing of the Gates family, if they split the assets now, she and her son would be at a massive disadvantage.

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
I will be devastated if Isabella and Ethan will get back together. Please, writer, Isabella deserves Harold....
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
