After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan) novel Chapter 1161

"Oh? Is that so?"

York wore that infuriating, cryptic smirk again. Isabella loathed that expression so much she wanted to punch him in the face, but unfortunately, she was no match for him physically.

He was an underworld kingpin; his combat skills were lethal.

"Mr. Austin, I've returned your things. The man I love is Harold, and I won't entertain anyone else. Please stop harassing me. Playing these games is exhausting."

Isabella had zero desire to continue this conversation. She stood up, ready to leave.

As she walked toward the door, York called out, "Isabella, you're exactly like the female leads in these novels. You're reborn, aren't you? That's why you changed your fate and suddenly got this protagonist halo. Even after a divorce, you have an incredible man like Harold entirely devoted to you."

Even Ethan was desperately trying to win her back.

She was the polar opposite of who she used to be—practically a different person.

Isabella halted, glancing back over her shoulder. "I highly suggest you go to a hospital and get checked out, Mr. Austin. I'm seriously worried there's something wrong up here."

She tapped her temple deliberately.

York's expression darkened. "I'm not crazy, Isabella!"

"If you're not crazy, then you're possessed. I suggest you visit a temple, burn some offerings, or better yet, hire a fortune teller to perform a spiritual ritual and cleanse you."

"Where science ends, the occult begins. Sometimes it's best to have a little faith."

With that, Isabella didn't linger for another second. She strode out of the presidential suite without looking back.

York didn't try to stop her.

However, the moment she pulled the door open, York's associates moved to block her path. Harold and his bodyguards immediately tensed, ready for a fight.

From inside, York spoke as if he had eyes in the back of his head. "Let her go."

Only then did Blake lower his arm, allowing Isabella to exit.
