"She brought this on herself!" Barbara said fiercely. "She wanted to have her cake and eat it too. People that greedy usually end up with nothing."
Natalie's life was already unravelling. Ethan had finally seen through her and was genuinely falling for Isabella. Meanwhile, Jordan was blatantly sleeping with his secretary. A divorce was inevitable.
"If she really planned this, I hope they lock her up and throw away the key," Barbara spat. "Not just for me, but for Isabella. Natalie made her life a living hell. Even those awful relatives from Isabella's hometown who keep harassing her for money—that was all Natalie's doing."
"Oh, she's definitely going down," Linda agreed confidently. "Once they get her to confess, she's looking at a decade behind bars. Kidnapping is a major felony. Even if she didn't grab you herself, being the mastermind carries a heavy sentence."
Linda smirked. "By the time she gets out, her life will be over. Jordan will have divorced her ages ago. She'll have absolutely nothing left. And it's exactly what she deserves. She chose Jordan over Ethan because she wanted the Lane family's prestige, but she still expected Ethan to wait on her hand and foot. Honestly, why did she even pick Jordan?"
"She clearly loved Ethan too," Barbara mused. "But she couldn't let go of the wealth and power that came with the Lane family."
"You still don't get it, do you?" Linda laughed dryly. "She loved them both. She knew that if she married Jordan, Ethan's obsessive loyalty would keep him wrapped around her finger. But if she had married Ethan, Jordan would have just moved on. Marrying Jordan was the only way she could keep both men worshipping her."
The White family was notoriously protective of Linda, and with a dozen fierce male relatives ready to go to war for her, messing with Linda was basically signing a death warrant. Since then, Natalie had resorted to spreading vicious rumors behind Linda's back, contributing to Linda's intimidating reputation.
Meanwhile, Harold had dropped Isabella off at her place. He stayed for about half an hour to ensure she was settled before heading back to the hospital.
Once he was gone, Cynthia walked into the living room, studying her daughter. "Weren't you two supposed to be spending the weekend at the beach? Why are you back so soon? You both looked so stressed. Did you get into a fight on the way there?"

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
I will be devastated if Isabella and Ethan will get back together. Please, writer, Isabella deserves Harold....
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
